Picasso Museum Malaga
Located in Pablo Picasso’s birthplace in Malaga, it has a permanent collection showing works from eight years of his work.
It is made up of 233 works and is located in the Palacio de los Condes de Buenavista, a building declared a National Monument in 1939. This is one of the best museums in Malaga.
Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga
It was inaugurated on 24 March 2011 and is located in the historic centre of Malaga. Here we can see pieces of different genres of Spanish and Andalusian painting from the 19th and 20th centuries.
It has 285 works, collection of Carmen Thyssen who gave her collection to the city of Malaga for the opening of the museum.
Museum of Malaga
This museum houses a collection from the 19th century. Inaugurated at the end of 2016, it can be found in the Palacio de la Aduana, next to the Roman theatre and the Alcazaba.
It has more than 15,000 archaeological pieces and an extensive art collection with two thousand works.
Contemporary Art Centre of Malaga
This museum focuses on plastic and visual arts from the last third of the 20th century to the present day.
It consists of 400 works and a varied number of temporary exhibitions, film cycles, workshops and congresses. It is an initiative of Malaga City Council which was created on 17 February 2003.
Malaga Automobile Museum
A somewhat different museum in general terms. Discover this place located in Tabacalera where we will see a unique collection in the world that combines high standing vehicles and haute couture.
You’ll find such well-known brands as Ferrari, Mercedes and Bentley, among many others.
Malaga Aeronautical Museum
More than five thousand metres of aeronautics await us on a visit to this museum. Surely one of the best museums in Malaga and Spain for its exclusivity. .
It was opened for the first time on 13th November 1997, consisting of four buildings, arranged around a beautiful garden.
