This is possibly the most important museum in Madrid. We can see works by great artists such as Goya, Velázquez, Del Bosco and many more. 

It has the largest collection of Spanish paintings in the world. It opened its doors for the first time on 19 November 1819.

This museum is located in a neoclassical building in Atocha, which previously served as a hospital. It has two other venues in Madrid; the Palacio de Cristal and the Palacio de Velázquez, located in the Retiro Park.
