The south is one of the most beautiful places in Spain, and that’s where Malaga is located. The Costa del Sol is an ideal place to spend our holidays, and that is why today we bring you a list of the best beaches in Malaga.

La Malagueta
The first place could not be any other than La Malagueta. Located in the capital itself, we can find beach bars and restaurants along its promenade where you can taste typical dishes such as fried fish or espetos. It is one of the most visited beaches in Malaga.
Playa de Calahonda
In the municipality of Nerja we find this beach of turquoise waters that was the protagonist in some of the episodes of the Spanish series «Verano Azul». It is approximately 120 metres long and 20 metres wide.
Near it we can find the Balcón de Europa, one of the most important attractions of Nerja. Access to it is not complicated but it must be taken into account that it is not adapted for disabled people.
Playa de Puerto Banús
In the well-known province of Marbella we find the beach of Puerto de Banús, also known as Río Verde.
It is considered the most glamorous beach in the most sophisticated enclave of the Costa del Sol. A curious fact about this beach is that it has been awarded the Blue Flag, a distinction awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education. Undoubtedly, one of the beaches in Malaga that we must visit.
Playa del Maro
We return to the municipality of Nerja to show you this marvellous small beach with a waterfall. Just 500 metres long and 20 metres wide, this beach of crystalline waters is ideal for a family day out.
It has a waterfall that is hidden under the cliff while snorkelling or kayaking.
Playa del Cristo
This beach is characterised for being ideal for families due to its calm and shallow waters. It is located in Estepona, next to the marina.
It is easily accessible and has two beach bars where you can enjoy live music at certain times of the year.
Playa de los Boliches
Last but not least, we have this beach located in Fuengirola. This beach has a promenade where you can walk, rollerblade, ride a bike, etc.
