But the best thing is that on the coast, not only do we have wonderful beaches to enjoy, but all along the island, especially in the north, we will find fantastic ocean pools of Gran Canaria where we can cool off in unique environments.

Las Salinas de Agaete
One of the most emblematic ocean pools in Gran Canaria are those of Las Salinas de Agaete, connected between volcanic tubes. Here you will have the sensation of swimming inside an ‘ocean castle’, as these pools have numerous stone pylons on their edges to protect bathers from the waves.
Charco Azul
In El Risco of Agaete awaits one of the most precious natural jewels of Gran Canaria. The Charco Azul is a natural pool formed between the cliffs that wonders us with an enchanting waterfall that usually remains almost all year round.
El Agujero
We continue in the north of Gran Canaria. In the coastal municipality of Gáldar we will find the ocean pools of El Agujero, which offer wonderful views of the Atlantic while we relax with a good swim.
Roque Prieto swimming pools
Do you feel like taking a dip reading this list? Then you shouldn’t miss another of the most outstanding ocean pools in Gran Canaria: Roque Prieto. This place is located in the northern municipality of Santa María de Guía.
Los Charcones
If we go to Arucas, we’ll come across another pond on the coast that we love, Los Charcones. It is a very accessible spot, close to the motorway, and offers us the opportunity to bathe with unbeatable views and to discover the small pools around it when the tide goes out.
La Laja swimming pools
Did you think we wouldn’t talk about the capital today? In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria there are also other essential oceanic pools in Gran Canaria. In the surroundings of La Laja beach you will find three pools: a natural children’s pool in the shape of a half moon, another one adapted to regulated sports, 50 metres long, and a third one for families.
Charco de Los Espejos
With the Sardina Lighthouse guarding it, Charco de Los Espejos amazes everyone who dives into its crystal clear waters while the waves break next to it. An impressive oceanic pool to relax in front of the Atlantic.
