One of the best things to do on a Sunday in Gran Canaria is to go to Las Canteras. Relax with a stroll along this incredible urban beach and even enjoy the gastronomy that you can find along its long avenue. Here you can even go to the Las Arenas shopping centre, one of the most important on the island. There is also the Alfredo Kraus auditorium, where shows are usually performed and you can enjoy them in the best atmosphere. 

If we want to do something more active, we can go to the south of the island, where we can find activities such as go-karting, the Aqualand Maspalomas water park or the Holiday World amusement park. Without a doubt, these are fantastic options for the more adventurous. The southern area has tourist avenues where you can take the opportunity to have a drink while enjoying the atmosphere and the sea breeze. 

Another plan is to go for a drink on one of the island’s terraces. La Azotea de Benito or Las Marismas are a good choice to enjoy a Sunday in Gran Canaria having our favourite drink with incredible views. 

For those who like sport, especially football, one option to consider is a visit to the Gran Canaria Stadium. The city’s team, UD Las Palmas, plays here on some Sundays of the month.
